Going into coop hardlocks your game? Nothing fixes this, I'm completely stuck.

I can't reset my character. Hitting escape does nothing, I can't open the settings menu at all. I can't attack. Hitting the Run button does nothing. I sat here for 10 minutes and nothing happened. The game is completely hardlocked, I can't even nuke the character and start over.
Is there any fix to this, or did my entire game just brick?
