4 months later - What's the state of the game?

Godfall really intrigued me when it first came out. It looked like a game I could have some fun with. But it seemed like it lacked content for the $70 price tag. I had also seen it getting some less than stellar reviews.
I noticed that it's on sale for $40 on the Playstation Store now, so I'm thinking about finally giving it a shot. Just curious what the state of the game is. How much has it changed since launch? Have the devs been keeping up with patches and fixes? Have they been expanding the endgame?
