Did they remove status damage from Black Panther's Pounce?

Title. It's been a while since I used him a lot, but I remember if you had status damage on power attacks, the initial tackle from a pounce, and every swipe from the combo after a successful pounce would apply status damage. It seems that now only the initial tackle and the last hit of the combo apply status damage? Kind of a shame if that was intended. The battery damage with damage buff from those felt kinda nice.
