Long story short, I’m 6 months post op and am really happy with my results. I did not have a set ideal or image of what I wanted my nose to look like after surgery. I actually didn’t hate my before nose, but I felt like on my particular face, it was taking up too much real estate. The size and shape made my nose the focal point/hard to ignore when looking at me, taking the attention away from my other features, the ones I really like about my face (my eyebrows, my jawline, cheekbones and teeth). I just wanted to feel more confident in myself and really let my favorite features on my face shine.
I put all my trust in my plastic surgeon to create the ideal nose for me based on remedying my aesthetic pain points and functional issue . I told him I was self conscious of the size, the drooping nostril, the crooked septum and bulbous ball-like tip.
My septum was corrected and my nasal tip adjusted and thinned out. However, my nostrils were kept as is—I think this was key in maintaining my nasal integrity / a more natiral look / paying homage to my Greek nose and in making my results look natural (vs results that scream perfection only a plastic surgeon could attain).
I had no ideal nose in mind nor did I come with a collection of Pinterest/celeb photos depicting a style of nose I wanted mine to emulate. I think that’s where many people go wrong. They want something that’s not harmonious with their other facial features and /or nasal functionality bc they are blinded by an ideal type of nose seen in the media/Pinterest/social media or even on friends.
Super happy with my results!!! Wanted to share a success story on here.
my surgeon was Dr Jeremy Werner
