Pvz 1 but zombies only spawn from graves and the zombie ai manages a sun like currency during waves which allows for bigger or smaller waves and even having special zombies appear from graves. Think zoy bean or whatever pvz 2 plant it was that makes tofu zombies. This way its possible to plant around the zombies rather than having to memorize what waves have what zombies. I would also make grave buster have super high sun cost and recharge or just make grave buster seed packets a secondary currency. I think giving different graves certain properties depending on the zombie they spawn would be cool too. Like water graves only spawning water zombies Or spawn cooldowns. I personally think it would be really cool to have the zombies play on the lawn rather than just sending in waves.
