First time trying semi aquatic planting

Trying my hand at semi aquatic planting. Just pit these in and yes I did top up the water already. I am trying some pothos and spider plants in my turtle tank here. I found these planters on Amazon to keep her from chewing them all up. She likes to just chop of leaves of plants and leaves them floating. I chose pothos and spider because they are suppose to be turtle safe if she does get some.
