Post Body

I used to have a 55g heavily planted molly and platy tank. I loved it. I learned many lessons and wasted many dollars. This time around I am thinking of 2 or 3 smaller tanks on a rack mixed among houseplants. I will do heavily planted, with tiny fish. I only intended to use air pump sponge filters, do you think this will be enough? As far as lighting, I haven't decided if its better to use lids and hood lights on the tanks, or open tanks with overhead lights for both the tanks and houseplants. And if I do use hood lights, do I need a good light, or will the ones that come with the tank/combo sets be good enough for plants.
