Hey guys. So I have been having PF symptoms the past few days. Stopped running on Wednesday when I knew what it (likely) was. I have lost 100 pounds. I began running to lose weight last year. I probably put in 30-35 miles a week on the treadmill when I was still 200 because I had enough cardiovascular endurance to do that. Zero injury issues during the weight loss. And now at 127 pounds (I’m 5’2”) I develop PF symptoms.
I believe I developed this due to ill fitting shoes that I bought a couple weeks ago. How long will this take to fully return to running/walking? Is it really a couple months like the internet says? I feel great and I have a LOT of energy. I hate this shit. It’s incredibly depressing thinking about not running. I also swam laps 5-6 days a week and I can’t even do that because I can’t push off the fucking wall.
I find it hard to believe that after all I put my body through to lose the weight that I now have to take 2 months off. Has anyone ever heard of getting better faster than that?
