Anybody feel worse after shockwave?
Post Body

I'm dealing with not only a minor case of PF, but a more annoying case of capsulitis of the 2nd and 4th toes at the other end of this ligament also. Been about 9 weeks of this crap. PF is slowly getting worse because I'm compensating and trying to lay off my toes.

Did 5 sessions of the shockwave. Thankfully no more. But with every session, I felt a significant increase in pain from like a 3 to a 5/10 for at least a week after each session, before returning to baseline. My 2nd toe was feeling quite a bit better and it was mainly in my 4th toe, and then I completed my final session of shockwave on Tuesday and here I feel like I'm back to square one in my 2nd toe. :(

Now I sit and wait. My doctor (who I trust a lot) says it could take 4-6 weeks after the final session to see the benefits. I have a feeling I'll be twiddling my thumbs for the next month just to find out it was another $500 hocus pocus non-treatment. If it doesn't work, I'm moving on to the Tenex procedure. I'm not prepared to walk with a feeling of rocks in my shoes for the next year.

Is there anyone who had this done who did get better but initially got worse?
