Earlier today in the stream, the devs mentioned that they are going to be revamping Implants into a system that people actually want to use. One of the biggest things they said they want to do is to remove energy. However, without energy, how do you justify having multiple levels of implants?
Allow up to 4 implant slots per loadout, with each rank of implant taking up its level in slots
Essentially, I am suggesting that you be allowed 4 "slots", you can put any implant into them, but the number of slots taken by each correlates with their level. So a level 2 implant would take two slots, a level 3 would take 3 slots, and a level 4 would take 4 slots.
This would allow you a shit ton more customization and variation in your loadouts. It would allow for mixing and matching of various implants and their benefits, as well as making it a system that is a lot less of a pain in the ass to use.
A few examples of loadouts you could run:
Clearvision 2 and EMP sheild 2
Battle Hardened 4
Awareness 2 and Marker 2
Regen 1, EMP 1, Clearvision 1, and Battlehardened 1
Safe fall 3 and Regen 1
