I think most people are viewing the movies wrong. I see an official cannon timeline posted here, but I beg to differ.

The rise series is a prequel to the original movies, yes, but set on an alternate timeline. Here is what the order should be

TIMELINE A:

RISE MOVIES PLANET OF THE APES 1 & 2 OG

TIMELINE B: REST OF OG PLANT OF THE APES.

There are 2 timeliness. One where it naturally happened, due to the ALZ virus. And one where Cornelius and Zira traveled back and had Cesar integrated when just a retrograde animal virus hit.

Timeline A ends with the world being destroyed. Timeline B ends in ape and humanity's unity.

The kingdom is set in timeline A.

The movies have 2 sets of chronological orders. Not one.
