Mechanic Stuck at Exit of Ride

After updating the game today to 1.7.1, I noticed something odd about one of the mechanics at my park. He was stuck at the exit of a ride he was called over to inspect, just moping around. I then keep firing and rehiring him, yet he does not budge. After a while, the ride he was stuck outside broke down, and cannot be fixed. Has anyone else experienced this bug in 1.7.1?
