I don't expect this to be a popular post because people are not allowed to have opinions on Reddit without reactions that equal someone bitch slapping your mom. I'm not knocking the Google watch, I just think Google missed a huge opportunity. Anyway, I am a huge Google fan and also a huge Apple fan. Own a Pixel 8 pro, iPhone 14, iPad pro and MacBook. Yes, it's ok to like both. I am not a fan of the Apple watch though yet it is the best selling watch on the planet. At first the square design was not very popular and many designs like above started popping up on the internet that years ago, got me and many people excited.. However the round apple watch ship sail because somehow apple managed to make made a square smart watch cool.

The new Google watch is ok. That's my point. It just meh .. Some people love it, more people are meh... It kind of makes me wonder how a Google watch that looked like the top photo would do. 1.edges identical to the pixel 8 pro 2. Larger screen, offering two sizes.

That's about it. There is no arguing that the Google watch was a disappointing launch in terms of sales, market share, etc. I guess it just bugs me thinking what it could have been. With more squared off edges, 45mm, flatter screen (so the edge of screen is functional), so basically, if Google emulated a lot of the galaxy watche but kept the more minimalist style, the Google watch would be a serious contender. However it didn't so it's not.
