I spend a lot of time talking on my phone via bluetooth and the remaining 20% is web stuff and a few pictures. I'm not a heavy user in terms of challenging the hardware and overheating the innards.
I bought the phone Dec 30 2022. Late last November, the phone battery declined to the point that would not make it over night unless I charged it. It would be at 65% at night and dead by dawn. I was asked to wait for the December update to see if the issue resolved. It didn't. As of Jan 10, the battery performance in unacceptable. I can't make it through an 8 hour day without having to charge the thing. My Note 8 with its original battery does much better despite the age.
The replacement is about $180. Despite giving Google everything Verizon had on my Pixel 7 Pro purchase, Google denied the replacement under warranty saying that documentation showing proof of purchase was lacking and dismissed. Conference calls with Verizon and Google got me nowhere. Google stood hard and refused to budge.
Now that these phones have been out a while, how are other users doing with battery life 1 year in? Has anyone done their own battery replacement?
