Upgrade to 4XL or 4a

I currently have a Google pixel 2XL and I'm looking to upgrade it, however I'm not sure if I should get the 4XL or the 4a. I heard all the bad reviews about the 4XL but I love my 2XL and just the overall Google Eco system I'm slowly building to ever go to another Android. Would it be worth it to get the 4XL since it's discounted so much of wait for the 4a, or wait for the 5?
