Is 12 Credits Full Time?

Post Body

Bit of a silly question, I'm sure. My first semester at Pitt is this upcoming spring, and I was planning on only taking four courses (primarily gen eds), to ease into things.

However, when scheduling classes yesterday, I was told by my advisor that 15-18 credits is full time, not 12-18 like I had seen online before my appointment.

I'm feeling quite worried diving back into school with such a heavy load, hence why I'm here to ask fellow students.

Is 12 Credits considered full time, or part time? If full time, I can hopefully just pull four classes. If part time, I'll just have to grin and bear it from January through April.
