Care to elaborate? We have since partially re-opened, but Reddit has made our communities inaccessible to users of 3rd-party apps (even paid app users, which is essentially now all of them) and mobile web users.

There was tons of misinformation on this, most of it coming from SFW communities who couldn't care less about NSFW Reddit. Reddit never announced any intention to remove any content from users of their own app. The whole point of the statement was to announce a shameless cash-grab to force half the entire userbase to download their terribly buggy and ad-laden app, or the content they view will all be censored. And they succeeded, because nobody really cared.
