Downloading pirated content in U.S

I am going to live in America in next few months and I heard the ISP there may find u if u download pirated content like (Games, movies or anime). For me I'm ALWAYS downloading these with directed links like Mega, Gdrive or mediafire and never using Torrents. Will the ISP will catch me or I'm safe?
