It placement within mouth…
Post Body

Man, I wish editing the title was possible in Reddit. BIT placement.

I’m curious as to where you direct the bit/stem inside your mouth. I find myself moving between 3 placements and haven’t yet found “home.”

Placement 1: pipe at corner of mouth angled off to side and bit just past my incisors/canines, so the raised portion sits against the back of my teeth and the smoke hits the tip of my tongue at a slight angle.

Placement 2: Similar to placement 1 as far as pipe angle at the corner of my mouth, but moved slightly rearward so the pipe presses into my corner of mouth a little more and sits on my first molars and balance with canines. I also insert the stem more and the tip ends up somewhere near the middle of my tongue.

Placement 3: Lessened entry angle but still at corner of mouth but the length of the stem runs along the molar plane more and the tip touches the the side of my tongue about 1/3rd back.

Just wondering what tends to be the most common positioning ‘cause that’s the way my brains works, lol.

Pondering while enjoying my first bowl of Maltese Falcon. Perhaps better than Quiet Nights for me…
