Borg pipe question

Anyone familiar with the Borg pipes? I've had this one in my collection now for a few years now and just started using it. Used three or four times now but having a problem cleaning it. There seems to be a blockage in the stem keeping my pipe cleaner from going more than an inch. I have no problem with the air flow, I'm able to smoke it without any problem. As far as I know the stem doesn't come apart (I'm afraid of forcing it). Any ideas? Thanks
