Training on the XDJ-XZ vs. CDJ-3000/DJM Setup

Post Body

Hi Folks! I've DJ'd for years but recently began my journey into more serious live mixing. My goal is to play in larger clubs, and festivals. Currently, I have the XDJ-XZ - but the more I learn, going from the XZ to a CDJ setup will by no means be apples-to-apples. Even if/when I prep my files in Rekordbox, the CDJ's are quite different units, with a lot of fundamentally different features from the XZ.. ie: they have no pads, and seem to operate differently in general.. am I just being paranoid? I feel like maybe I should sell the XZ while it still commands a good price, and just take the plunge and invest in some CDJ's.. but at the same time, the XZ sounds great, actually has some advantages, and I see a general consensus that it's very similar to the CDJ/DJM setup overall - and for basically 1/4th the cost! I'm not cheap, but like 9k vs. 2.4k is quite a difference at this stage in my life.. Any thoughts/advice?
