Hi!! I will be starting as a freelance flutter developer tomorrow. This is a paid trial and part-time only since the client knows that I am currently working as a full time freelance Manual tester. Please give me tips on how I will become successful in this career because this is really my first time to work as a developer. I badly wanted to become a developer because I feel so stagnant with my current career.
Btw, just want to share a short story on how I got the job.
I sent my resume and portfolio in some job postings for Flutter developer position through onlinejobs//ph. I have work experience as a QA but no work experience as a developer. Then, there was someone who did not ignore my application. He just gave me an exercise or a task which is to create an application. Afterwards, he told me that the coding looks good for a junior profile and asked my skype id. We just chatted and offered me a job. I feel so lucky since they do not use time tracker, my per hour is $5, this might be low but I am after the work experience, challenge and learnings as of now. What I did not like is that after the month trial, if they like my outputs, they want me to have full commitment with them, meaning, I have to resign to the current company I am currently working with. Is there any red flags you see here?
Thank you in advance.
