Shifting careers from Product Management. Any recos?

Post Body

Hello all. In my 30s and looking to shift careers.

I am currently an associate product manager in a tech firm, but after a year I feel like the work is not for me. The people are okay, my boss is good, and the pay is fair. I just find myself having constant anxiety about things, dreading Mondays, having impostor syndrome all the time, and feel as if I'm going to get fired tomorrow if not the next week or month due to something I missed or didn't think of (welcome to Product Management as they say).

Am looking to pursue something adjacent or different. Was thinking maybe software engineering or data engineering for more heads down technical work rather than the usual PM work though I fear that the market is saturated already with people who have started earlier than me.

Am wondering if there are other possible paths out there. Something that someone like me could study or learn to restart.

Suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
