Joining/inheriting a bad codebase
Post Body

I'm starting a new position and like the title said, the code is really bad. No design pattern, no architecture, not even testable code. How do you go about this? Should I suggest right away how to make it better? Any suggestions on how to do it without sounding an a**hole and pabibo but at the same time i want to use this to my advantage as well. Because really napamura ako nung nakita ko ung code hahaha.

Edit: Got some good suggestions din below. Keeping it for future readers as well. Thank you everyone.
