Hello, i just started playing. i was please wondering what the benefit is of planting seedlings if you already own that color

I have many red and yellow ones and was wonderint what the point is of hatching every red/yellow/blue seedling I come across if I already have some. For example, I love gob, and would never want to replace him. Am I able to grow seedlings and then sell them for nectar? or can I blend them for coins or something?
