Hi, so I’ve only ever had my ears pierced, and that was as a baby, so obviously I’ve never had to tend to one and am sadly out of the loop. I’m considering getting a septum, and while it isn’t a place where a lot of makeup would go (in my personal routine) I’m still curious about the general upkeep of makeup and a piercing when it’s healed. I’ve noticed a lot of girls don’t take out their piercings when applying makeup (at least the ones I see on social media) and I’m just curious as to why/if that’s better for the piercing. It seems to me like the jewelry would just get dirty by leaving it in while doing makeup? Do you just clean around the general area after? (Please note that in this case I’m only referring to healed piercings, as I know not to apply makeup to a fresh one. I’m sure this is a dumb question, but I really want to be taking care of everything properly.)
