So... I've been doing chastity for a long time, but always struggling with it from time to time. Recently, I've been considering trying getting a PA to do pierced chastity, but I'm honestly hesitant. Can anyone give me advice on it, I know obviously this is probably a biased crowd :)

• So obviously the true benefit in terms of chastity is that the cage becomes functionally unremovable, but what are the other benefits and detriments of a PA piercing? Is that a PA the usual piercing used by chastity devices? What other alternatives are there, and why would one choose them? What does the piercing process usually cost? How does it affect your ability to do things "down there"? How bad does the piercing hurt? How long does it take to heal? That kind of thing.
• What are the best parts of getting it done for you, and what are the parts that you don't like/regret? It's a serious consideration, so I'd love some honest feedback on it.
• Does getting a PA interfere with anything else in your life? (Like penetrative sex, for example)? Can the piercing get infected (after it has healed) by a chastity rod in it? How difficult/long/ does it take/painful is it to "gauge" up to the right size for a rod?

Sorry if this is a duplicate post, I looked but didn't see any. I'm both interested and scared of it. When I got my ears pierced, they eventually scarred over so I'm worried the same would happen and cause potential issues.
