Taking too long to heal? Should I be worried?
Post Body

Got my 8G PA back in June at a reputable piercing studio in Sydney, paid a premium to make sure I wasn’t skipping quality.

Pierced with a curved barbell that had to be changed almost immediately because it was completely sucked into my urethra. Got it changed to a CBR the next day by the piercer. While getting my piercing, I was told that it felt as though he had to push through an extra barrier which he’s never had to do before in his 20 years doing PA piercings.

Fast forward 8 weeks everything is looking great with no pain whatsoever unless I pull some crusties through by accident. Then one day I wake up and it’s bleeding again. Contacted my piercer who opted to change it to a curved barbell with a bigger top ball and leave it for 2 weeks. Changed it back to my CBR once the 2 weeks was up. It feels okay now but every now and then when I have an erection, it hurts to knock the piercing and sometimes sex with my wife is quite painful until I get the right angle. Still have crusties and am guessing that means it’s not fully healed.

It is worth mentioning that I’m a stomach sleeper so when I wake up with morning wood it almost always has the ring in an awkward almost stretched position.

Is this piercing ever going to fully heal and stop causing me pain/discomfort or is that just something I have to live with as part of having a PA.
