I think we need to get away from calling it indoor and outdoor pickleball. In reality when balls and other equipment is labeled for “indoor” pickleball it has nothing to do with walls, a roof, and maybe some AC. It has to do with the playing surface. When brands, especially for balls, say “indoor” they mean on a gymnasium floor. When they say outdoor they mean on a surfaced concrete court. The confusion comes when you have full courts with the traditional surface texture that are inside. Instead we should call it court balls and gym balls. Doesn’t matter if there’s a roof or not.
