Got a moto XT2087-2 instead of XT2087-1 so it's going to be a brick in two months. Help me be not dumb (Mint. 180-250 USD)

Post Body

So I recently got a Moto G9 plus off eBay. Open box deal for 220$, looked good and didn't feel like doing a ton of research so I figured sure what the hell. Started getting the notifications from cricket that they aren't going to support my phone so whatever I'll punch my IMEI in other BYOD carriers' websites and switch.

Mint - "Sorry not compatible."
Visible - "Sorry not compatible."
Metro - "Sorry not compatible."

Hmmm. That's surprising.
Bring up my settings and see model: G9 plus (XT-2087-2)
.... -2?
-2????
-2?!?!
FFFFUUUU
Return window passed so that's a bummer since listing did have it as XT-2087-1.

I like the phone well enough but I didn't shop around much because I am on cricket and didn't want to deal with their whitelist bullshit. I plan on switching to Mint (or visible) and want a half decent phone that I won't have to worry about this VoLTE/3G shutdown shit.
Big screen like the one on this G9 would be nice. Large battery is preferred.
64gb storage would be nice too. I look at GSM arena's phone finder but I don't have a grasp on what is "good"
Motorola is cool, I'm open to others though. I'm stupid enough to do open box/refurb again though if it helps (got too many good open box deals off Newegg to ever close that door!)

Thanks to anyone willing to put their two cents in!
