I’ve mostly used Apple my entire life. I had a few brief stints into Android - I bought a “Sky” and a “J7” before and both had poor performance. Even the J7, a mid range phone, ended up slowing down 2 months into use. I was too impatient for that, so it was unusable.
I want to give Android a try again! Here’s what I’m looking for:
I don’t use many social media’s: Reddit and Snapchat. I’m a lighter user - sometimes I use my phone for maps on longer distance trips. I often use it to look stuff up and fall down internet rabbit holes with many tabs open.
Priorities: I’m getting more into the concept of privacy. So something with software that’s downloadable to keep my stuff secure. Also I do prioritize a good camera - I like to take pictures and I don’t enjoy the grainy look (which I’ve often associated with less-than top of the line Androids).
Which leads to price: ideally I wouldn’t want to spend more than $400.
I won’t be needing a new phone anytime soon. I’m currently stuck in the Apple-sphere - iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods. Slowly want to break out of that. So if there are phones you know of releasing in the next month/year, don’t hesitate to suggest those.
