Looking for a small-ish Android with battery life and good camera

Post Body

I've been a big fan of Sony's compact lineup, but to my dismay their new "compact" Xperia has a 6.1" screen, so I imagine it might be a stretch to look for anything resembling my current XZ1C 129 x 65 x 9.3 mm/140g form factor.

Things I appreciate with my current phone are:

  • Battery life: I usually go three days between charges on this phone. Sometimes more, sometimes less.
  • Size: I don't play games or watch movies on my phone. I want it to be portable and easy to use with one hand.
  • IP68 dust and water resistance doesn't hurt.

Things I don't like:

  • The Sony cameras always let me down. Why, oh, why are they so terrible?

The headphone jack is a bonus but not do-or-die and the microSD is a nice-to-have though it wouldn't make a difference if there is sufficient space on the phone.

Since I figure I'll have to give up something either way I'm considering an iPhone for the first time ever (what are they doing with a lightning charger rather than USB-C though?!) so I'd appreciate any viable Android alternatives.

I'm in Europe and budget isn't a big deal (I'll get it through my employer), so what are my best options? Comparisons with the iPhone 11/Pro are also welcome since I just recently got that wild idea and it might be a terrible one for all I know.
