Which would you all pick? Both are around £30/mo
Motorola Edge 40 Plus released May 2023 and has Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 one of the best chipsets a phone can get, with core software updates till May 2025 and 125W fast charging.
Samsung Galaxy S22 edge released Feb 2022 with the Exynos 2200 chipset, an inferior chipset, but still within the top 15 mobile chipsets, and has considerably better cameras with core updates till Feb 2026. Fast charging at 45W.
Both are considerably ahead of my Galaxy A52’s with Snapdragon 778g. I’m looking for a mix of gaming and photography, I expect both can handle it, but which will have better longetivity.
I know the S22 Ultra doesn’t have the best ratings for battery, but surely the 125W charging is going to very quickly wear the battery due to excessive wattage?
As long as the phone I pick can handle light usage outside of the house for a few hours I don’t mind, as it’s not exactly difficult to plug in a charger.
Which phone would you all pick? I did consider the S23 ultra which is £40/mo but the £125 upfront cost is just a bit too much for me.
