Redmi Note 8: lags too much for discord

Post Body

I have a Redmi Note 8! Was working perfectly until not long ago. Discord stopped working on my phone, and I needed to download an update.

After that, Discord became so laggy, to the point that it's not particularly usable on this device anymore when I join public voice calls.

I like to join public voice calls, to chat with people. However, it's became so laggy that, the call often disconnects, and the fastest way to reconnect to a call is to forcibly close the app through settings, then relaunch it. Sometimes, I'll have to do this multiple times during a fifteen minute call. Things became extremely unstable when I try to browse a server whilst on a call as well. Sometimes I can't for example, mute myself during a call, because the lag is too extreme to be able to press the mute button. This isn't due to internet speed.

I tried clearing the cache. Is there anything I can do to make Discord usable on my phone again? Or is a Redmi Note 8 simply not powerful enough to use Discord anymore?

If a Redmi Note 8 isn't powerful enough, what can I buy to upgrade?

I want something that:

1) isn't enormously expensive

2) has a decent camera

3) can use more than a single SIM card at one time

4) has a headphone jack

5) has an expandable memory slut, to add additional storage

6) has good support to use a custom ROM

7) won't become obsolete to use Discord

8) has decent battery life

9) needs to work within Australia. Needs B28 band
