Apparently, Pogo has said some pretty suspect shit, but the above video mostly edits him out and replaces his face with deepfakes of Patrick Stewart and Brent Spiner. So if it's true that Pogo has indeed said some horrific things, this video might make his work more palatable...

Some of the deepfake action using Brent Spiner is pretty incredible (mostly down to Pogo's original movements), which raises interesting questions for the future of a sci-fi show. Just how long could certain Starfleet officers continue?

Maybe, just like Picard's positronic shell, ST actors could record enough so that even when they aged, if there was a time travel episode required, anything would be possible. 🤔 There are certainly some interesting ethics to consider.
