32M - 153lbs
Lifting 6-7 days a week for the past year (was at 5 days a week for 2 years before).I work from home so I have no real fatigue I go through daily, get 8 hours of sleep (at minimum 7), drink over 160oz of water, and at least track protein to ensure it’s 150g or higher (used to do full macros count but currently don’t).
This is me today, going on my 3rd month of “bulking, for real this time”. I’ve gained a whopping 3-4lbs since December. I try to eat at any point I actually know I’ll finish a meal/snack which is around 3 meals a day and 1 high protein snack/meal. Not afraid of donuts or sweets. 2 protein shakes a day.
Has anyone else arrived at a point where they realized their body type is geared towards a certain look and changed goals/perspective? Should I double down on my bulk efforts and just bulk until I’m broke and nauseous, or should I change my mindset and embrace the “Robin” body type instead of going for a “Batman” one?
Yes I have a haircut appointment next week.
Honestly you look great. Why do you say Robin? And remember some people only achieve the bulk with juice.
Can I ask how you workout? I've listened to a few different experts and they say to not workout daily. Not fatigue the muscles with too many high quantity rounds . Give them ample time to rest. So even with a 5-6 days split to workout each muscle group just 1-2 times maybe 3. But then when you do go for the highest weight. Where you only can do 8-12 reps. If you can do 12 in a clean form to go higher in weight. But not more than 3 rounds and you should fail the third and not make it till 12. Not more than 3-4 exercises per muscle group. I concentrated only on glutes and got amazing results even though I only made it 1-2 a week into the gym ( I'm constantly sick). So I guess when I ever get well I will definitely go for a full body split.
