Deciding whether or not to go to grad school

Post Body

I'm a current rising 4th year at the University of Chicago majoring in physics and astrophysics. My cumulative GPA is 3.6 my major GPA is around 3.5. I've had 2 internships so far one working at a non-profit music organization and another as a teacher assistant/ Counselor at a math camp. I made an attempt to earn my commission as a marine corps officer but got injured during training and once my third year began I let myself go due to work and school. I'm strongly considering applying however I feel that I am not a strong candidate. I've heard from many that a master's is generally not worth it and to might as well go for a ph.d. Personally I can't afford taking out any loans and would heaviky rely on any financial aid for the program I'd apply to. I love physics and astrophysics and I love learning. However with my situation especially financial, I realistically will have to graduate and get a job. Thus missing out on graduate school. Essentially I'm seeking guidance and any advice that can help.
