Hi, high school student here. I have never really understood electricity and was wondering if someone could please explain the above.
From what I understand the potential difference between two points in a circuit describes the amount of work done per charge unit for some charge to move between those points. Let's say I have the circuit above (expertly drawn). What causes the electrons at 0v to move to the cell, since there is no potential?
Also what exactly moves in a circuit? I have heard that electrons have a "drift velocity", which means they move very very slowly, so what actually transfers the energy between different electric components.
Sorry for the scattergun of questions. Any resources would be appreciated. Thanks.
