How do I start this problem?

Ive been working on this question for a few hours now and still have no real clue on where to start. Ive tried treating it like a frame but I can't find that perfect place to take a moment that would allow me to forget about the moments at the joint at point c and solve for any variable.
I'm in statics and this was a past exam question so I know there is a solution. There are answers on the page but I also can't figure out how to reverse it.
