Is it okay to flood foreskin with warm water when cleaning?

I’ve been using the shower head to clean underneath my foreskin. I’m able to hit the water onto my penis head without discomfort anymore. I don’t use soap. It also seems like I’m also desensitizing my penis head (hypersensitive) which is what I want too. After my shower I pat the area down until nice and dry. Who else does this and is it okay?

Edit: Will doing this method also remove the white film of smegma on my penis head? Could I also removed hardened smegma as well by flooding my foreskin? Or do I have to use the shower head to shoot the smegma shard directly?
