Regardless if you're a local or an expat, and eliminating Manila and Cebu City, what city would you consider living in? Or, living in now and why? I've been researching the Philippines for about a year now. Watched all the usual suspect expat YT vloggers, local vloggers, Reddit, and my own intensive research. I've considered "a lot of things", ie infrastructure, Int'l airport, walkability, transportation (land, sea, and air), fresh food and a variety of restaurants, shopping, medical, friendliness, cleanliness, weather and it's effects on topography.... surely I'm leaving out other things to consider. Also, personally don't want to be in an expat community like you know where. But rather want to blend in with the locals and have a handful of expat acquaintances. I have come to my conclusion of where I would consider relocating to (coming from the U.S.). I'll disclose in comments later my preference but want to see where and why you live where you do or like in my case, want to relocate to. I haven't done my reconnaissance trip yet but plan to end of this year or after tax season next year. As for my current situation. I'm retired (62), frugal, healthy lifestyle, single (divorced), and no kids. I live on a fixed income, roughly net $22,400 annually from SS, nettiing about the same amount from income ETF distributions in my self guided brokerage account (currently reinvesting), receiving RMD from an inherited account, and still reinvesting in my self guided IRA. Keep a rainy day fund and emergency fund. My house is paid for and have no intentions of ever selling, although never say never. Everything is paid for and carry no debt.

TL;DR: Where would you relocate to, currently live, why and Eliminating Manila and Cebu City.
