Hello...I will be visiting the Philippines for the first time during the month of February.

Am i correct in thinking that the rainy season wll be over then? what are the best months weather-wise (i do. understand that there is some variability between islands).

Does Davao have the largest ex-pat community? how large is it? what other options are there?

I have a overall survey trip planned which includes manilla (2 days), coron, palawan, ceby, Bohol, sequijor and siargao. Are these places pretry safe for a sole 60 yo man? How about ridinng scooters? no major problems? Crime? bseides pick-pockets?

Anything special i should watch out for? anything special i should do. I do not have davao in my plans. Should i skip one island and visit there? or go there next time if i enjoy philippines and want to come back?

Any other words to the wise?
