this country is rift with nepotism, we do not promote people due to merit in the government, heck even in companies, it is who you know and not what you know. in elections it is all about name recognition which in turn is due to being a relative of some sort of political family and in some cases, a friend of one. and it is more so prevalent now than ever before. and this makes these people become pigheaded and think they are above the system as they didnt work hard to gain that seat, they just needed to be related in some sort to someone. now, in history when this happened, it always caused stagnation. how i wish we elected people due to the merit or their plan but instead we elect people due to memory.
