Where is the ideal place to live in Metro Manila if my sister is studying in PHILSCA (Villamor, Pasay) and I am studying in PUP Manila (Sta. Mesa, Manila), with commuting and cost of living are factors?

So since face to face classes are now starting to come back, my sister (4th yr college) and I (3rd year college) are looking for a place to stay in the metro where commuting to our respective schools will be easy and convenient. We're from province and alam ko namang never naman talaga naging convenient and easy ang commuting sa Manila based narin sa experience, but maybe a ride or two point-to-point is okay.

We're eyeing for condos in Magallanes near EDSA since it's only a ride to villamor (jeep) and to sta. mesa (pnr), but we're still looking for other possible places.
