so i live in a subd. thats mainly bbm so most of the people i encounter say the same thing whenever i ask abt it. some of them were rude too but i just listened. an obnoxious older man who yelled at the buko vendor who had a leni poster on his cart, my neighbor who hurts her kid over little mistakes, the old lady from down the street who harassed me as a kid had a bbm poster on her front gate. some are polite tho, i wont lie abt that, my favorite neighbor who gives me bread whenever she bakes is bbm. the tricycle drivers in my area who made sure i get to school safe every morning have bbm tarps on their tricycles. i guess since majority of the people in my area are bbm, it makes sense that they're so different from each other.
only met an isko supporter once, his family sold coco lumber for a living and had a poster on a wall outside his shop. he was very polite, helped me pick out a good bundle of wood (for my shelf, which he immediately helped me figure out how to build) and cracked a few jokes. overall, just a regular nice guy. he knew i was a leni supporter from my baller which i saw he eyed, but didnt say anything about it, which i appreciated.
which leads me to the encounter i had this morning from this group of leni supporters doing house to house campaigning. i was with my friend (we both came from bbm families) and we got excited to see them because active leni supporters are rare in our area. we walked past them and they smiled at us, i think one of them was about to talk about leni but then we explained we already support her. we said goodbye and left, they told us to take care. i thought last minute to raise my hand with an L sign at them so i did and they raised it too, overall a nice experience. another encounter with a leni supporter is this shop who sells frozen meats and vegetables, the owner is polite. he encounters people with masks that have opposing candidates on it every morning that joke abt the leni tarp on his store but he just laughs along. his shop is new, he cant afford to have enemies, from what he told me.
i dont know what the purpose of this post is, i despise the marcoses so it makes me uncomfy to see the community i grew up in support them. but i like to observe, and this is what i observed. i want to read about other people's encounters, people from different communities. i guess that's the purpose, so i hope someone replies about it.
edit: met a pacquiao supporter, was valedictorian of my old school. do i understand? no, i dont. the math is not mathing.
