By May this year, some 194k doses of Moderna vaccines will arrive in the Philippines. This, I think, will be the first batch of US-made vaccines that will arrive in the country.

The stats about the vaccines made by the 2 pharma are already out there and we know how high their efficacy rates are.

But we already know also how the current admin is pivoting policies towards China to the point that they may have ensured that Sinovac came in our shores first. DFA already said last January that there are doses of Pfizer vaccines that should have been ours that went to another country because someone dropped the ball during the negotiations.

What I fear with the arrival of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines is that the die-hard supporters of the President may start a shaming campaign towards people who will be potentially inoculated with vaccines coming from these two.

"Hay, kami nga Sinovac okay na kami eh. Tas ikaw naghintay? Sobrang privileged mo naman. " and the like can be a potential DDS script.

I really hope not...
