A couple of months ago I saw a post from u/michii- here in r/ph about a chinese restaurant in BGC that is only for chinese people.
I posted in one of our RD about this last week where a similar restaurant like that opened in Makati.
Backstory: SO and I got curious about this new restaurant since we're within the area of Little Tokyo. We initially thought its a Korean restaurant. I tried to go in and asked for a menu, but the Ate immediately said, "chinese restaurant po kami" to which I replied "ahhhh... pwede patingin menu?". She said that its all in chinese and there are no english translations.
Ahhh okaaaay. I just slowly backed away. It could be only a pretend restaurant or something. Haha and I remember that similar post and just thought, " damn they're taking over the country."
As promised in the RD, here's a photo of the facade. You can barely read the English sign.
So how does this work? Is it legal for them to turn away customers? What if we do the same and tell all chinese people they cant eat at Jollibee? Ugh. What are they doing to our country? To whom can we report this?
