So, last December 15, I approached BDO to follow up on my refund request. I accidentally purchased a 2000 peso steam wallet instead of 400 pesos. I immediately contacted steam to cancel the purchase and refund the amount. This was on Novemeber 5. Steam told me to wait for 15 days for the refund to take effect. So I waited but it still wasn't refunded. So I contacted them again and this time they pointed me to my bank, saying because I cancelled the purchase the same minute I did it, the money was not yet transferred to them.
So I went to BDO in SM and reported my concern. They said I should contact their call center, so I did. I was informed by a rep to fill up a dispute form to be submitted back to them. I did so in December 15, in my branch, and they faxed it over to their call center. I was informed by the clerk to wait 2 weeks and just check my account every day.
So I did. I also waited longer than 2 weeks, knowing how sometimes it is not on point. I returned this wednesday, January 10, to follow up since I still have not received my 2000 pesos. I was, again, informed to wait for another 2 weeks.
What is with BDO?
TL;DR I requested for a refund with steam and steam said my bank did not release the funds yet so I should talk with them and after about 2 months now, I have not been refunded yet.
