Hello /r/Philippines,
I am part of the 16 Million Filipinos who voted for Duterte last elections. I WAS proud that I voted for him as there was a big promise of change. I kinda held on to that promise because I was really sick and tired of corruption and how fucked up the government was during the past administrations.
Right now, I am enraged. Why you say? Cause I think we might have bred a new type of sub culture in the Philippines which is the DDS/Duterte Fanatics... Scientific Name: Dutertards. Honestly, I've only came across Mocha Uson's blog once and that was before the elections (also way before the clickbait articles) Now I occasionally visit it kung sira na ang araw ko at gusto ko pang mabwisit.
How do we face these "Ka-DDS" peeps on social media? I mean there is always a time to turn your back but when they start insulting you when they hear or read something that doesn't match up with their ideology, isn't there a time to stand up and defend ourselves? Sometimes these dickheads go overboard. As of today, I have read a little over a hundred death threats and I am not scared. Why? Because these bag of dicks are only brave when they're behind a screen and you're not in front of them, I honestly wish someone would have the courage to say those things on my face, up front and personal.
But what ever happened to intellectual political conversations? I know, Facebook is not the right place to look for it because you'd just end up having a ton of "Putang ina mo drug adik kaaaaa", "Sana ma-rape (insert female member of the family) mo!", "Tangina mo dilawang elitista!!!" on your post.
I think common sense, courtesy and a whole lot of normal people things died when Duterte won.
I would want to apologize for whatever these fuckheads are doing or saying, I blame myself because I have voted a president who empower these idiots.
Putang ina, mga bulag na inutil.
