Iām genuinely curious about the rule of thumb when it comes to street parking.
I live in Manila wherein talamak ang street parking with minimal to nil proper implementation to resolve this recurring issue. I have a garage in my house where I park my car. My concern is whenever I go out or arrive at home, almost always may sasakyan sa tapat ng bahay ko (yung part na hindi driveway), which makes it hard for me to maneuver and park my car inside because double parking na rin sa katabing mga bahay. Itās really inconvenient especially if late na ng gabi ako nakakauwi. Hindi ko alam kaninong sasakyan ang nakapark so hindi ko rin alam kaninong bahay ang kakatukin.
I understand that roads are governmentās property and hindi na yon sakop ng personal property ko, but itās really getting out of hand. I tried putting up a āno parkingā sign but tinatanggal nila whenever they park their cars there.
My question is, since itās a government property, wala ba talaga akong magagawa sa ginagawa nilang pag park sa tapat ng bahay ko dahil ang katwiran nila, hindi naman daw driveway yon so pwede silang pumarada?
I raised this concern to our barangay and they just told me that they will give a verbal warning to the homeowners. Wala ng ibang immediate action plan aside from that. Matagal na ring walang clamping operations sa lugar namin kaya balik ulit ang double parking.
Thanks for reading my post.
